High court to take a new look at voting rights law.

This is an interesting subject for me.  And I think it has nothing to do with race.

I was born in 1974 to two young parents.  They had 4 children together and then split.  I was raised by a single mother with lots of drama.  You could say my mama had the drama, there was no time for drama with us.  So I watched her do a lot of crap.  She always had to have ID.  In order to be a productive member of society, you have to have a state issued picture ID, even if it is not a Driver's License.  When I was a teenager and I started working, I had to have ID.  Otherwise I could not cash a check, set up a bank account, or even have a job.

Since then, I have known people who only work for cash, only pay cash, and never need an ID.  But these are not people who pay taxes-or are productive in meaningful ways.  I am not saying that they should not have a right to vote, but I am saying that this is the way illegal immigrates survive in our country as well.

The first time I went to vote, shamefully at 25 years old, I was shocked that I did not need to show picture ID.  The book was open and I could have said any of the names on the list I saw.  I could have verified the address, because it was right in front of me.  Many times since then, I have not even needed to show my voter registration card.  Poll workers act like you an old friend and they have seen you a thousand times.

So what is stopping people that are not legal from voting....nothing.  Should people that are not even citizens, some of who I love very much, choose the leaders of our country.  Should those that will not make the sacrifices that our ancestors did to become a part of something new make decisions for all of us who have an United States history lesson in our blood?

No matter what your stance on immigration is, you have to concede that illegal immigrants should NOT be voting.  They not only do not know enough about the issues, it provides an opportunity for the citizens of any country, or group to come in to the United States for a few days and take over our government in one election.  All they need is money, time, and US citizens willing to cooperate with them.

Showing picture ID when voting is necessary and prudent.  It preserves all citizens rights.

One day after the re-election of President Barack Obama.  Many people on my Facebook page are predicting disaster.  They are talking about food storage, and preparing for being out of work.  Bad things could happen even if Romney was elected.  They don't call it a fiscal cliff because it will be easy to get through this.

They are both very smart, intelligent, and well educated men.  I pray for President Obama and his family.  I hope that he will be inspired  and given the ability to keep as many United States citizens working as possible.  I hope he gets the right advice and help he needs.  And I pray that he can work with people to solve problems.

What many United States Citizens do not understand is that this scenario was started long before some of us were born.  Decisions were made to put the United States on this path.  Then our more recent president's did not change course either.  Including President Bush.

Dear Republican Party,

I identify with the republican party because I oppose abortion and personally do not believe in same sex marriage.  But mostly because I know there should be less government.  People should take care of themselves and rely less on the government to take care of things for them.

Now here is where you will be surprised.  I don't think government should make abortion illegal.  I think they should do everything to discourage it, do not pay for it, educate against it, but stop short of banning it.
Government should not define marriage either.  They should not certify, or oppose marriage.  They should let the churches define it.  Promote it, but strip the laws on whether it is legal or not legal, and do not issue marriage licenses.  It is a agreement between a man, a woman, and God.  The government should have nothing to do with it.--I know that is a little out there--but that is what some of your voters are thinking about.  OR  -Make a deal with democrats--they give up abortion rights (except in extreme cases) for making all "marriages" --"unions" --give the word Marriage to a religious ceremony.  So everyone would receive a civil union license, not a marriage license.  Give that power back to the people.

Give us affordable healthcare!  Either bring costs down, wages up, or make Obamacare work.

I am disgusted by the likes of Rush Limbaugh. I agree with some of what he says but his spirit is dark, the republican party should distance themselves from him in all ways.  They should promote others that want to speak on the party's views in a more organized and less aggressive way.

No more scandals!  Keep your pants on, hold your candidates, volunteers, and staff to the highest moral standard.  Stop lying and stealing.  Same thing, highest moral standard.  Most of your voters do.

Balance the budget.  If we can't afford it be truthful and cut it.

Run Romney again.  This time, run a positive campaign everywhere, with no lies, no insinuations, tell the truth.  Romney is so much more than the ads gave him credit for.

Change immigration so there is 1 path to citizenship no matter what country you are from.  Be productive and learn English.  Let states enforce immigration.

Until our immigration laws are clear and under control, require ID at the polls!  What is the big deal?

Require schools to work with parents.  Teachers should be required to report to parents weekly about lessons and individual performance all the way through High School.

Promote parenting!  The number of people in this country who know how to effectively parent is dwindling fast.  Teach parents how to educate their children, work with schools, and support the education system!  And do it in Spanish too!

Education 1100 in most universities promotes socialism and the democrat policies.  Change that!

Educate voters that THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION is their local school board--not the President of the United States.  Local elections including the school board are filled with people who are not the best candidates, they just have recognizable names--and they are overwhelmingly democrats.  They are also overwhelmingly people that have had no hardship.  Most of our children in public schools are now experiencing or have experienced financial hardship.  --like no food.  Someone who has never experienced that lifestyle cannot adequately make appropriate decisions for those who have.

Do what the other party has been doing and that is raising the value of the child.  Childhood defines the rest of our lives.  Recognize that and don't wait for the next generation to grow up.  Promote positive Christian values at a young age.  Work inside churches, form coalitions of non-church goers, try to change attitudes in schools.

Republicans lost this election because most people in the US either do not have access to the right information, or they are too busy to look it up.  It took me, of above average intelligence 2 hours to research all the races I voted for today.  Most people don't have that kind of time.  Libraries have a 1 hour limit.  If you work 40-80 hours a week and have children you do not have time for that even with internet access in their home.

Don't call me with automated phone calls--huge turn off.  I liked the Romney/Ryan ad, but then I was trying to read to my children--the phone rings and it is the RNC with an automated call about something I care nothing about at that moment.

Don't knock on my door.  I want concise, short answers I can look up on-line, or get in the mail.  I want to chat on line, or call a number when I have questions.  Don't invade my time!  Don't invite me to a rally on a Sunday when I know it is against the candidates religion to work on Sunday.  By the way I have to be at church, where he should be too.

I hope this gives you good ideas to educate people about living a self-empowered life free of government control.  If math is correct-haha.  I should represent at least 10,000 people.

Republicans who feel the same way?  Please ad on to this letter with your comments.
